Department Overview The US Technology Finance Team was established to deliver greater technology governance and improved visibility to the US Technology financials through active management of the US technology function and PPM/SIM investments including continuous improvement of all elements of the US technology platform. This specific role within the team offers an individual the opportunity to continue to transform the US Technology ”Fee” Investment portfolio through new business insights and improved analytics. The role is responsible for the end to end Financial planning and analysis (FP&A) processes and technology that support our annual US Technology plan, projections, and monthly reporting. It provides an opportunity to develop skills in the areas of reporting analytics, data management, project financial management, communication, technology/financial systems, influencing and building key relationships. The individual will develop a strong understanding of the U.S. business and participate in efforts to drive financial management efficiencies across the U.S. Technology. Key customers include US Technology CIO, US Technology SLT, cross-functional teams across the entire Global Technology organization, US and Global Finance, US Marketing, and Global StrategyDuties Ensure the accurate compilation, analysis, and reporting of Tech Investment Financials including:

  • Maintain and enhance technology to support the US Tech Investment annual planning process ensuring:
  • Consistent data collection with details of projects, spend, resources and spread across all US Technology products
  • Enabling Leadership insights for decision making through the PowerBI Platform
  • Supplying of information to Corporate Financial and Corporate Strategy platforms
  • Maintain and enhance the process and technology for managing financial spend and forecast of the US Tech Investment including:
  • Enable leadership to draw actionable insights and decision making via the PowerBI Reporting Platform
  • Ensure availability of reporting for Monthly leadership reviews, with a focus on understanding key components impacting results
  • Improve and maintain a consistent process for product owners to track budget vs. actuals and maintain accurate financial projections
  • Maintain the technology to enable Franchisee Leadership review of quarterly Tech Investment spend against plan and projection
  • Relationship Management
  • Build trust and rapport with key customers; builds strong relationships between teams within US Tech and related business teams
  • Provide training and coaching to the team on financial processes and controls
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of the key business processes and systems and identify integration, alignment and improvement opportunities
  • As the finance lead for the US CIO, you will liaise with US Tech SLT on strategic investment opportunities
  • Oversee internal and or external audits requestsQualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree with 8-10 years’ experience with Multi-Project Financial Management and/or Finance Planning
  • Significant statistical analysis and reporting experience
  • Ability to structure and quickly synthesize large volumes of data to develop reporting that allows customers to achieve actionable insights
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to interact with customers at a variety of levels and across multiple functions
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to anticipate customer needs
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize competing priorities
  • Knowledge of general accounting principlesAdditional Skills and Experience
  • Highly proficient with Excel, PowerBI and SmartSheet
  • McDonald’s restaurant technology experience preferred

Ultimately, in determining your pay, we may also consider your experience, and other job-related factors.
