Job Summary:

As a Sales Associate at The UPS Store, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their shipping and printing needs, and promoting our various products and services. You will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the overall operations of the store. Sales Associates must be available to work early evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Assist customers with shipping, packing, printing, and other services offered by The UPS Store.
  • Provide information to customers regarding shipping options, pricing, and delivery times.
  • Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system.
  • Package items securely to ensure safe transportation.
  • Operate printing equipment such as printers, copiers, and fax machines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries.
  • Upsell additional products and services to meet customer needs.
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly.
  • Keep track of inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed.
  • Follow company policies and procedures regarding safety and security.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and store objectives.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance product knowledge and customer service skills.

Qualifications:

  • High school age+ individual.
  • Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with office equipment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions.
  • Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 40+ pounds.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
