Electrician job at UNC Finance and Operations Chapel Hill, NC, US

Job Description

Perform preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment; install and repair electrical systems and components from the load side of the service transformer to the last device, assist lead person with small renovation and construction projects, respond to daily emergency calls as applicable, and keep lead person and supervisor well informed of daily work progress. This position will perform scheduled electrical maintenance on existing building systems. Effectively use a wide range of tools, technical manuals, electrical blueprints, and various electrical meters to make repairs and installations. Performs preventive maintenance to various campus electrical systems and complete associated paperwork documenting preventive maintenance. Installs new electrical components per customer request, responds to daily emergency calls as needed and keeps lead person and supervisor informed on status of projects.
